So, I just read this interesting article about Trump and CNN’s town hall. Apparently, Trump was actually pretty pleased with how it went down. He even tweeted about it, saying “Many minds were changed on the subject of immigration and the wall. Watched by 1.6 million people on CNN. Town hall interview with @CNN - 75% of participants approved, 25% disapproved. I do believe that the people that attended the Trump Rally on El Paso, Texas, loved seeing great & howling young Border Patrol officers & local police. They were 100% GREAT. Also, many people were unable to get into the packed arena - good!” You know what they say, any publicity is good publicity.
Basically, the article explains that even though CNN has been one of Trump’s biggest critics, he couldn’t help but notice how popular the town hall was. He thinks that people’s opinions about immigration and the wall changed because of it. The article also mentions that although there were some protesters outside, things were relatively peaceful inside. In my opinion, it’s interesting to see Trump actually acknowledging a media outlet that he usually bashes. Who knows, maybe this will be the start of a beautiful relationship between the President and CNN. Just kidding, I highly doubt it.
Overall, I think the article sheds light on Trump’s perception of media coverage and how it impacts his public image. It just goes to show that every now and then, there can be moments of agreement and even applause between political adversaries. Whether or not it leads to any real change is, of course, anyone’s guess. Nonetheless, it’s always fascinating to watch how things unfold.
