New Jersey shore town offers boardwalk in shape of the cross despite criticism: 'Can't hide our faith'

Hey! I just read this crazy article about a New Jersey shore town that made their boardwalk in the shape of a cross. Yep, you heard that right. Some of the locals are upset because they think it’s too religious, but the town officials say they’re just proud of their faith and want to show it off.

Basically, the town of Ocean City has a beautiful boardwalk that was in need of repairs. Some people suggested they just replace it with a standard design, but the town decided they wanted to do something unique. That’s when they came up with the idea to make it look like a cross from above.

Of course, not everyone is happy about it. Some people think it’s a violation of church and state, and that the town is excluding people of other religions. But the town officials say that’s not the case - they just think it’s a cool way to showcase their Christian roots.

Personally, I think it’s kind of funny. I mean, who knew a boardwalk could be so controversial? But I also understand why some people might feel left out if they’re not Christian. That being said, I don’t think it’s worth getting too worked up over. At the end of the day, it’s just a boardwalk.

Overall, I think it’s important to respect people’s beliefs, even if we don’t necessarily agree with them. And if making a cross-shaped boardwalk makes the people of Ocean City feel more connected to their faith, then more power to them. Plus, it’s definitely going to be a unique photo op for anyone who wants to snap a pic from above!
