So, I read this article about Marjorie Taylor Greene leading a rally in NYC protesting Trump’s indictment, and it honestly blew my mind. I mean, who knew someone could be so passionate about a guy who’s been impeached twice?
Anyway, apparently, the mayor gave Marjorie a warning about the rally, but she went ahead with it anyway. And get this - she’s not even from New York! It’s crazy to me that someone could be so invested in a cause that they travel to a whole other city just to protest.
From what I gathered, Marjorie is a big Trump supporter and is convinced that he’s innocent of any wrongdoing. She’s not alone, though - there were plenty of people at the rally who shared her views. I couldn’t believe how fired up they were!
Personally, I think it’s important to have different opinions and perspectives in politics. It’s what makes our democracy work. But at the same time, it’s also important to hold our leaders accountable for their actions. Whether or not Trump is guilty, it’s up to the justice system to decide - not a rally in the streets.
All in all, this article really got me thinking about the role of public opinion in politics, and how it can sway decisions for better or for worse. It’s definitely a topic that’s worth keeping an eye on.
