So, I was just reading this article about Scott Baio, the ‘Happy Days’ star, and apparently, he’s leaving Los Angeles because of all the crime and homeless issues going on.
Basically, Baio was fed up with the state of the city and had had enough. He claimed that he and his wife had been victims of crime and that the homeless population was out of control. He said that he no longer felt safe or comfortable living there, and so he decided to move his family out of the area.
It’s a shame, really, because Los Angeles is such an iconic city, but I can definitely understand where he’s coming from. I’ve been to L.A. a few times and it’s definitely got its problems. I remember once when I was walking down a street in Hollywood and a man just started yelling and throwing things at me out of nowhere. It was really scary and I can definitely see how that kind of thing would make someone want to leave.
Overall, I think it’s important to recognize that there are serious issues in our cities that need to be addressed. Crime and homelessness are just a couple of them, and it’s up to us as citizens and leaders to come up with solutions. I applaud Scott Baio for taking a stand and making a change in his life, but at the same time, I hope that the city can work towards creating a safer and more livable environment for all its residents.
