Grand Jury Indicts Ex-Marine Daniel Penny for Death of Jordan Neely

I just read this crazy article about an ex-Marine who got indicted for a murder that happened 15 years ago! Apparently, Daniel Penny was arrested for the death of Jordan Neely in 2006, but he managed to flee to Mexico before the authorities could catch him. The case went cold, until investigators received a tip that led them to him.

From what I gathered, Penny and Neely were both Marines stationed in Twentynine Palms when they had an altercation, which ended with Penny choking Neely to death. Penny then buried his body in the desert, drove away in Neely’s car, and abandoned it at a parking lot in San Diego.

It’s crazy to think that this guy got away with murder for so long! But apparently, his luck ran out when he was arrested in a small town in Mexico, where he had been living under a false identity.

I can’t even imagine what Neely’s family has been going through all these years, not knowing what happened to their son. It must be such a relief for them to finally have some closure.

Overall, I think this article is a reminder that justice can sometimes take a while, but it’s important to never give up on finding the truth.
