So, I was reading this article about Bud Light’s VP of marketing, and how she’s looking to update their branding to be more inclusive. It really caught my attention because it’s not often you see big companies making a conscious effort to change their image like this.
Basically, the article talks about how Bud Light has had a reputation for being a “fratty” and “out of touch” brand. But now, the VP of marketing wants to change that by making their marketing campaigns more diverse and inclusive. She says they want to appeal to a wider range of consumers, including women and minorities.
I think this is really important because it shows that companies are starting to realize the importance of diversity and representation. For so long, beer commercials have only featured stereotypical white bros, but now we might start to see more diversity in advertising.
Personally, I’ve never been a huge fan of Bud Light, so I’m interested to see how this new branding will change my perception of the brand. It’ll also be interesting to see how their competitors respond.
Overall, I think it’s great to see companies making an effort to be more inclusive and forward-thinking. Hopefully, this sets a positive example for others to follow.
