Yo, I just read this wild article about Biden’s recent speech in Connecticut. So apparently, at the end of his speech he said “God Save the Queen” instead of “God Bless America.” Talk about a major blunder! People are losing their minds over this, saying that Biden must be “truly incapacitated” to make such a mistake.
From what I gathered, this was all part of Biden’s efforts to thank the British ambassador for assisting with the evacuation of Afghanistan. However, it seems like he got a bit carried away with the praise and ended up referencing the British national anthem instead of sticking to the good ole American one.
To be honest, I don’t know much about politics and all of the nuances that come with it, but I do know that messing up your closing statement like that is definitely not a good look. It’s crazy how something so small can blow up so quickly and become a huge controversy.
All in all, I think this shows how important it is for politicians to be mindful of their words and actions, especially when on the national stage. It also highlights the power of social media in spreading news and shaping public opinion. Who knows what other gaffes we can expect from our leaders in the future?
